Terms of Service

1. What we provide
NameNotifier aggregates and ranks information about expiring and dropped domain names, and delivers alerts when domains match user-defined filters. We surface derived analytics (scoring, explanations, status transitions) based on daily diffs of public zone-file data and additional enrichment sources.
2. Age and eligibility
You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these terms.
3. No guarantees
Domain status and availability data can change at any moment. We do not guarantee that a domain shown as available will still be available when you try to register it, nor that our scoring reflects market value in any particular case. Use your own judgment before spending money.
4. Acceptable use
You may use NameNotifier for research, investment analysis, portfolio management, and defensive brand protection. You may not use it to plan trademark infringement, fraud, spam, phishing, or any illegal activity, and you may not resell, scrape, or systematically export our data outside of the published API subject to its rate limits. We reserve the right to revoke access if we reasonably believe the service is being misused.
5. Affiliate links
Registrar links (GoDaddy, Dynadot, DropCatch, SnapNames, etc.) are affiliate links. We may earn commissions at no extra cost to you. Our rankings and DQS scoring are computed from signal data independent of any affiliate relationships.
6. Data sources and third parties
We consume zone-file data under the terms of each TLD operator (ICANN CZDS and equivalents). We also use third-party enrichment APIs (Wayback Machine, keyword data providers) and processors (Stripe for billing, Resend for email, Cloudflare for CDN and abuse protection, Telegram for optional alerts). Their uptime and accuracy are outside our control.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Paid tiers bill monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout. Yearly plans are prepaid and non-refundable mid-term except where required by consumer law. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Plan changes are prorated through the Stripe Billing Portal. Applicable tax is collected via Stripe Tax where required.
8. Refunds
We handle refunds case-by-case. For new subscriptions that are clearly purchased in error and have not been meaningfully used, reach out within 14 days of the charge and we’ll refund the latest period. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may result in account suspension.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, for fraud, or following a chargeback. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page; deletion cancels any active subscription and removes personal data per our Privacy Policy, though de-identified aggregate analytics may be retained.
10. Warranties and limitation of liability
NameNotifier is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost domain-acquisition opportunities.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Consumer-protection laws of the user’s country of residence apply where they cannot be waived by contract.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are announced on the site with at least 14 days notice and an updated effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
